Our Work

Bokod, Benguet is home to approximately 3,500 students spread across 42 public schools in 10 barangays. While the government provides free education, there are still significant gaps in various aspects of learning, particularly in reading. Many schools lack adequate reading materials, and students have limited access to books that can help develop their literacy skills and foster a love for learning.

At Bokod Strong, we aim to bridge this gap by focusing on initiatives that enhance reading opportunities for elementary and high school students. Our approach includes:

📚 Building Mini Libraries – We identify schools with the greatest need for books and establish mini libraries in different areas, creating accessible reading spaces where students can explore new ideas, expand their knowledge, and develop stronger literacy skills.

💰 Providing Mini Cash Grants – We offer small financial grants to schools, enabling them to purchase essential educational materials, improve learning facilities, and support programs that directly benefit students.

Through these efforts, we strive to empower young learners, nurture a reading culture, and contribute to a brighter future for the children of Bokod. With the support of donors, volunteers, and community partners, we are committed to making a lasting impact—one book, one school, and one student at a time.
